Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Russia Q3 2023

The third quarter of 2023 has shown interesting trends for the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Russia. Here, we dive into the performance of the top 5 apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery maintained a high number of weekly downloads, starting at over 300K in late June and tapering off to around 200K by the end of September. Active users demonstrated some fluctuation, peaking at 5.5M in late August before stabilizing around 5.1M towards the end of the quarter.

Uber Russia — заказ такси saw a decrease in weekly downloads, from 136K at the end of June to approximately 87K at the close of September. Active users also experienced a decline, dropping from 2.5M to around 2.1M over the same period.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a relatively stable download rate, starting at 77K and ending at around 50K weekly downloads. The number of active users fluctuated but remained consistent, with a noticeable dip in early September to 288K before recovering slightly to 283K by the end of the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a steady decline in weekly downloads, from 58K in late June to around 29K by late September. Active users also showed a downward trend, starting at 657K and dropping significantly to about 141K by the end of the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride remained relatively stable in terms of weekly downloads, averaging around 12K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a slight increase from 63K to 71K over the same period.
